A beautiful couple, Chad & Julie, tied the knot on the 26th of December in Boone, North Carolina. The wedding was very intimate and included only family and close, close friends. It was a lovely wedding and it was very obvious that Chad & Julie are 100% crazy for each other. Below is a sneak peek of some images to come from their wedding.
Her laugh is contagious
Several people may have known this but I am engaged to a wonderful young gal that I have been with for nearly 7 years. My schedue has been super hectic lately and I have been meaning to post images from our engagement session with Carolyn Dyer for a long time now but just haven’t gotten to it yet. Today is that day.
Well, it has taken me a good number of months but I have fully updated my portfolio. It seems that every time I began to update things, something else got in the way of completing it. Tonight, after fixing a wonderful bowl of chicken and rice soup and a delectable pepper jack grilled cheese, I told myself that tonight was the night and indeed it was. I love the feeling you get when you set your mind to something and accomplish it. Consider my Rocky Balboa for the night.

I love it when I am able to photograph a friends wedding. I first met Anna in 5th grade and I have considered her a great friend since then. Shane and Anna’s wedding was absolutely beautiful and couldn’t have been better. Rain was immanent but the clouds parted let the sun shine through. Congratulations to both of you.
I was able to shoot a wedding this past weekend in Myrtle Beach, SC. Now I say I shot a wedding at the beach, but what I should say is I shot a wedding on the beach. It was more than beautiful. Weddings like this one, where the couple are so in love with each other, are always so much fun to shoot because the bride and groom are completely wrapped up in one another that they don’t even notice the photographer. I’ll be posting more images soon. Until then, here is a sneak peek.
Summers are always a ton of fun. Summers bring us warm weather, fresh air and a plethora of shoots. This past weekend, I ventured down to Lake Norman, NC for a bridal shoot. It went absolutely wonderful and I was able to test out my new battery pack for my strobes. If you own strobes and haven’t yet purchased a portable power pack, I highly advise you to do so.
